Craft Kits for Ladywood

In May, we distributed more than 60 creative packs to St George’s, Barford and Nelson primary schools, St Thomas Children’s Centre and families and individuals who are isolating or home schooling.

The packs contained arts and craft materials such as glue, scissors, paints, pens and paper, as well some with wool crafts, knitting needles, crochet hooks and fabrics.

In June, we’re going to follow up with printable creative ideas sheets and short videos on a range of basic “building block” craft skills to do at home.

Home schooling, isolating or needing a creative outlet?

We’re putting together creative wellbeing packs for Ladywood residents, for activities like painting, yarn crafts, textiles, drawing and papercraft.

We’re currently working on the logistics of distribution and how to get things safely to those who need it most.

Meanwhile, please do get in touch if:

  • You have surplus craft materials you’d like to donate (large quantities of any type of materials, either new or in good condition please)
  • You’d like to help put together and distribute craft packs
  • You or your family would benefit from a craft pack, and would find it difficult to get supplies elsewhere
