Share Shack Update

Hello friends,

It’s been over two months now since our pilot Share Shack shop at 194 St Vincent St West “launched”… and sadly closed on the same day, due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

We’re not able to re-open just yet, but we’re working away to put plans in place, make everything safe and get the equipment share library open as soon as we safely can.

Meanwhile, our amazing team have been keeping busy with…

The Potato Project; lifting, transporting, rescuing, sorting, washing and dishing out… over ten tonnes of potatoes!

Putting together and giving out craft packs to local families schools and children’s centres, to help keep the lockdown boredom at bay.

Growing Together with our dedicated team, working to bring fresh, locally grown produce to local people, while getting our daily outdoor exercise with a purpose!

Please check back for regular updates, and visit our Facebook page for volunteering opportunites and other news.

Stay Safe!

Ali, Kate, Sam and the EMP Team

Covid 19 update

Dear friends and neighbours,

As many of you know, Share Shack Ladywood was due to open on 14th March 2020. For obvious reasons, we weren’t able to open as planned.

Instead, in the spirit of Share Shack, we will be finding other ways to share with our friends, neighbours and community of Ladywood (and beyond!):

Take a look at the Share Shack pages to find projects, ideas and resources.

You can find lots of ideas on our Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram too!

Keep in touch… if you want to find out more, have a question, or you’re interested in joining our team of volunteers, please get in touch below:

Eat Make Play in B16

Welcome to Eat Make Play!

We are a community enterprise based in the B16 neighbourhood of Birmingham, UK.

We use food, creative arts and crafts, music, performance and play to share and learn, build skills and bring neighbours together.

We make use of underused resources and spaces, surplus and discarded items to create sustainable enterprise and better quality of life in our community.

We run workshops, events and activities in the B16 area, for local residents and visitors.
