Let’s Share together!

This Winter, we’re launching three fun, sociable online learning groups as part of our Ladywood Share Shop programme of learning and sharing.
You can join in Stitch, Sing and Grow groups, via a WhatsApp forum and weekly online social meet-ups. They are free to join, for all ages and abilities and you don’t need to commit to coming every time, just join when you want to and you’ll always be welcome!
To join Stitch, Grow or Sing groups by email, message us with the form below…
Due to the current strict lockdown across the UK, we’ve had to pause our lending service at the shop, and unfortunately can’t open for any activities or work.
We miss all our friends and neighbours and really want to keep in touch, so over the next few weeks we hope to be able to connect with many of you online, in WhatsApp, Zoom and by email or phone.
We are also launching three exciting social learning groups via WhatsApp and Zoom over the next few weeks… There’s one for stitching, singing and growing – details to follow soon!

Please get in touch if you need to borrow anything for an emergency – we do have things like heaters and cookers.
During the current lockdown in England, we are following Government guidelines and are only open for people to collect or return library items that they have reserved online or by phone.
If you need to borrow something from our library, please get in touch by emailing eatmakeplayb16@gmail.com or going onto the MyTurn library catalogue to reserve.
You can collect or return your reserved item from the shop by arrangement, or on Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 10 and 12.
Following advice from our partners, The Active Wellbeing Society, we’re pleased to be able to invite learners back into the shop from this week. We have Covid Secure processes in place to make sure our community stays safe, and we ask anyone coming to the shop to please…
1 Make sure you are well before you come in – if you have a cough, fever or loss of taste or smell please stay home, stay away from others and get a Covid test from http://www.nhs.com
2 Please wear a mask in the shop
3 Clean you hands with the gels pro ided
4 Check in with the NHS Covid 19 ap – you can download it on your mobile phone via your ap store
5 Please keep 2 metres distance between you and other people who don’t live with you
These are the workshops we have every week:
Monday 12- 2.30 sewing
Tuesday 12 – 2.30 repair and remake
Thursday 10 – 12 arts and crafts
We will also be running a range of online social learning activities over the next few weeks, including craft kits that can be collected from the shop – details to follow soon!
Dear friends and neighbours,
As many of you know, Share Shack Ladywood was due to open on 14th March 2020. For obvious reasons, we weren’t able to open as planned.
Instead, in the spirit of Share Shack, we will be finding other ways to share with our friends, neighbours and community of Ladywood (and beyond!):
Take a look at the Share Shack pages to find projects, ideas and resources.
You can find lots of ideas on our Pinterest, Facebook and Instagram too!
Keep in touch… if you want to find out more, have a question, or you’re interested in joining our team of volunteers, please get in touch below:
Welcome to Eat Make Play!
We are a community enterprise based in the B16 neighbourhood of Birmingham, UK.
We use food, creative arts and crafts, music, performance and play to share and learn, build skills and bring neighbours together.
We make use of underused resources and spaces, surplus and discarded items to create sustainable enterprise and better quality of life in our community.
We run workshops, events and activities in the B16 area, for local residents and visitors.
